Homemade lemonade
When temperatures rise, nothing beats an ice-cold glass of sweet-sour lemonade. Make your own using four simple ingredients (including a sprig or two of thyme)
Turn frozen strawberries, lemon juice and sugar into a refreshing summer drink, best sipped in the sunshine
Put the sugar with 150ml of water in a pan. Heat until the sugar dissolves then simmer for 2 mins. Cool then stir in the lemon juice and chill until you want to serve.
Make the lemonade in batches. For two drinks put a third of the lemon syrup and a third of the frozen strawberries into a blender with 200ml of cold water. Blitz until smooth then pour into glasses. Repeat with the rest as needed. Garnish with fresh strawberries and mint sprigs to serve.
